Creating Holiday Memories that last

Back from vacation, and it’s already time to get to the traditional post holiday ritual - printing out holiday pictures, and sending them to family! Last time around, the kids made a collage for their grandparents. The results were beautiful, much better than I expected, and it also made for a good couple of hours of family bonding as we put the collage together. Even my mother-in-law, who has probably said about two nice things to me since my wedding day, called to say how much she loved it.

All that praise from my normally aloof MIL has encouraged me to try something better (and more impressive) this time. I am thinking along the lines of creating a personalized blanket that includes all our wonderful holiday memories in bright technicolor! My mother has a birthday coming up, and a personalized birthday gift with our pictures gracing blankets, bedspreads or duvets I think, would make the perfect gift. For the always adorable MIL, maybe a custom pillow with pictures of her grand children having the time of their lives would make perfect sense. All I have to do is choose only those pictures that don’t include me in it.

I’ve been looking around online, and it seems these are actually ridiculously simple to put together. In any case, I am exhausted after two weeks, and would rather not spend hours making a collage.
